Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Logistics Operator to carry out all operational tasks associated with a busy logistics operation around goods receipt, put away, picking, packing, loading, despatching, stock counting and discrepancy investigation.
Your Objectives And Responsibilities Will Focus On…
* Excellent working knowledge and ability to carry out all key tasks across the full Logistics operation as and when required including Goods Receiving Bay (GRB), North stores and Distribution Centre (DC)
* Develop and foster cross functional key relationships with wider logistics and business teams to deliver excellent customer service
* Ensures customer orders are processed to meet on time to request (OTTR) requirements
* Advanced user of the MRP system and operate computerised databases and systems to ensure that all transactions are accurate and completed within the required timescales
* Perform routine daily duties for the collection and correct disposal of recycling and general waste streams as required
* Understand and comply with Company Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) practices, identify areas for improvement and support related initiatives
* Operate all material handling equipment (MHE) across all areas of the logistics department
* Understand and comply with the Company Core Values
* Engage, suggest and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and projects, as required
* Flexible to complete other duties when required
Your Previous Experience Is Likely To Include…
* Multi MHE user including ride on, fork lift truck and reach truck & VNA licence
* Team player and able to work using own initiative, with experience of working in a fast-paced high volume warehouse and/or logistics department, using handheld scanners
* Competent taking the lead in team situations and/or discussions
* Recent experience using WMS or similar in day to day operations
* Excellent verbal, numerical and written communication skills, using information to make decisions
* Experience in prioritising workload in order to meet and set dynamic deadlines
* Ability to interpret data within JDE/E1 or similar
* Understanding of operating and applying safe Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) practices
* Awareness of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5Y, etc
