THE EMPLOYER IS: HALDANE FISHER GROUPThe Trainee Marketing Assistant will support our marketing team in promoting the Haldane Group brand and our products across multiple channels. This creative and varied role involves content creation, social media management, campaign support, and market analysis. The trainee will gain hands-on experience with digital marketing tools and platforms, learn how marketing strategies are developed and executed, and contribute to growing our brand presence and customer engagement.TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENTThe successful candidate will receive a comprehensive induction along with on-the-job training, supported by regular supervision and mentoring from experienced team members. They will be trained in company systems, procedures, and policies, as well as in a range of digital marketing tools and platforms. Throughout the programme, they will develop key occupational skills relevant to the role and have opportunities to gain workplace qualifications and valuable practical experience. Upon successful completion of the programme, there may also be potential for permanent employment.
Responsibilities
* Creating engaging content for social media platforms, writing posts and captions, sourcing and editing images, scheduling content using management tools, monitoring engagement and responding to comments.
* Assisting with the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, creating promotional materials such as flyers and email newsletters, coordinating with suppliers and printers, and distributing marketing materials.
* Updating the company website content management system, maintaining databases and mailing lists, recording campaign performance data, creating reports on social media metrics and campaign results, and presenting findings.
* Researching industry trends and customer preferences, monitoring competitor activities and pricing, gathering customer feedback, analyzing market data to identify opportunities, and compiling research findings.
Skills and Qualifications
* Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
* Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
* Basic IT skills (ability to use computers, email, and learn new systems).
* Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
* Attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Previous office or administrative experience.
