Smile Education are proud to be representing a specialist SEN primary school in Wolverhampton, part of the Endeavour Multi Academy Trust, in their search for a passionate and adaptable Teaching Assistant to work on a part-time, ad hoc basis across the school. This role is to provide flexible cover for staff absence, including training days, sickness and general absence, supporting classes from Early Years through to Key Stage 2. The Role As an Ad Hoc Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide flexible support across Early Years to KS2 Cover staff absence including training, sickness and general absence Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small groups Adapt quickly to different classes and age groups Assist with sensory activities, structured learning and behaviour support strategies Work collaboratively with class teachers and the wider SEN team Maintain consistency and a nurturing approach for pupilsThis is an ideal opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who enjoys variety and can confidently adapt to different classroom environments. The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold a relevant qualification (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) Have UK-based experience supporting children with additional needs (essential) Demonstrate strong knowledge and understanding of SEN and challenging behaviour Be flexible, reliable and able to respond to short-notice bookings Work effectively both independently and as part of a team Have a positive, proactive “can-do” attitude Be willing to immerse themselves in school life and uphold the school’s valuesWhy Apply Through Smile Education?
