HGV Class 1 Driver - Waste & Recycling

£17.00 per hour
Monday to Friday | 7:30am - 5:00pm (42.5 hours per week)
The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for multiple HGV Class 1 (CE) Drivers to join a leading waste and recycling operation across several sites in the Greater Belfast area and surrounding regions.
With multiple vacancies available, this is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers seeking long-term, stable work within a growing and essential industry.
The Role
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of waste materials across a range of routes and customer sites, ensuring full compliance with all transport and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operating HGV Class 1 articulated vehicles across scheduled routes
2. Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
3. Coupling and uncoupling trailers safely
4. Ensuring loads are secure and transported safely
5. Carrying out collections and deliveries to commercial and industrial sites
6. Supporting loading and unloading where required
7. Completing all paperwork and digital records accurately
8. Adhering to driver hours, tachograph and health & safety regulations
9. Providing a professional and customer-focused service at all times
Requirements
Essential
10. Valid HGV Class 1 (Category CE) licence
11. Valid CPC qualification
12. Digital Tachograph card
13. Experience driving articulated vehicles
14. Good knowledge of driver hours and transport legislation
15. Strong focus on safety and compliance
Desirable
16. Experience within waste, recycling or environmental services
17. Experience operating walking floor trailers, tankers or similar
18. ADR certification (not essential)

21. Physically fit and able to assist with manual handling when required

23. Flexible approach to working hours (overtime and occasional weekends may be required)
