Job Title: Working Foreman - Residential Building Services Location: Dorchester, Dorset Salary: Negotiable Responsibilities: Lead and supervise on-site construction activities for commercial, domestic, and residential projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project specifications. Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to plan and execute construction tasks efficiently and effectively. Provide hands-on support and guidance to construction crews, demonstrating proper techniques and procedures to complete tasks safely and accurately. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track and within budget. Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Collaborate with the project management team to develop project schedules, allocate resources, and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines. Communicate regularly with clients, subcontractors, and team members to provide updates, address concerns, and maintain positive relationships. Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily reports, work orders, and material inventory. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred). Proven experience as a foreman or supervisor in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial, domestic, or residential projects. Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively manage a diverse team of construction workers and subcontractors. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR) are a plus.
