We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who is keen to gain clinical experience within the field of Critical Care and respiratory as a Band 6 within a forward-thinking, supportive, and friendly Adult Therapy Service.
Our ideal candidate will have a passion for OT and a desire to actively participate in all aspects of the role, including working flexibly when required across multiple teams. You must be willing and able to lead on various elements of the work and training within this exciting area of OT. You should be an effective team player with excellent communication and organizational skills and demonstrate evidence of recent professional learning.
In all areas, you will have access to senior OT professional support and opportunities for clinical professional training and development. There will also be opportunities to enhance skills in cognitive and behavioral assessments as part of specialist rotational training.

Key responsibilities include:
1. Supporting Occupational Therapy provision on the Critical Care unit and Respiratory wards specifically.
2. Cognitive and functional assessment of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest patients.
3. Assessment of surgical patients to facilitate safe discharge home.
4. Rehabilitation of Critical Care patients both on CCU and following step-down to Level 1 and 2 areas.
5. Cross-cover to wards as required.
You will provide specialist assessment and management skills as an Occupational Therapist, working with other members of the MDT to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care. You will also provide leadership and supervision to junior staff, students, and non-qualified staff.
