Contract type - Fixed-term until 22/07/2025 linked to a child with individual needs

Pay Grade - Grade D3 (£24,027 FTE. This will be prorated to £16,344.12 actual per annum)

Hours - 30 hours per week, 5 days per week

38 weeks per year

At St Luke's C.E. Primary School, our staff team, in partnership with our Governing Body, work hard, with passion and enthusiasm, to provide the very best opportunities and experiences for our delightful children.

St Luke’s CE Primary school is situated on the outskirts of Northampton. We are a happy school with a strong Christian ethos. We are a 2-form entry school with 420 children on roll. St Luke’s has been a proud member of Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET) since 1st November 2016 and during our last Ofsted inspection in September 2019, we received good against all areas.

We are currently seeking a caring, passionate and professional Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work with a child in KS1 with communication and language difficulties. Through this appointment, we hope to strengthen the support we provide all children, to enable their development, both academically and emotionally. We are therefore looking to appoint someone who shares in this enthusiasm and can contribute effectively to our vision.

We are seeking someone who:

1. Is enthusiastic, approachable, friendly and positive about their role in education and contribution to our whole school community;
2. Is committed to supporting, motivating and challenging the learning of children of all abilities within the classroom;
3. Can work creatively with the teacher to establish an appropriate learning environment, meeting the needs of the pupils and curriculum;
4. Can work effectively, flexibly and independently;
5. Shows initiative and creativity in different learning situations;
6. Is passionate about children’s learning and well-being;
7. Is keen to support the ethos of a Church school;
8. Knowledge of ASD would be an advantage!
