Finance Business Partner
We are currently partnering with our Exeter based client who is seeking to appoint a Finance Business Partner to join them on a permanent, full-time basis.
This is a newly generated role that will provide crucial support in capex planning, financial business partnering, data analysis, financial modelling, forecasting, scenario planning, contract review, and insightful reporting using Power BI and similar tools
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with project managers and senior stakeholders across various departments to provide financial guidance, challenge, and support.
* Lead the planning, monitoring, and reporting of capital expenditures for key initiatives, ensuring effective process control and accurate tracking.
* Develop and maintain financial models and conduct scenario analysis to support investment decisions and strategic planning.
* Analyse contracts and costs for major programmes, identifying risks, opportunities, and key value drivers.
* Utilise data visualisation and business intelligence tools (such as Power BI) to deliver clear, insightful reporting and performance tracking.
* Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
* Present financial results and recommendations to senior management, translating complex data into actionable insights.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function, enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of reporting and analysis.
About You / Qualifications
* Fully Qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with experience in business partnering.
* Strong background in capex management, financial modelling, and scenario analysis.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
* Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Power BI or similar reporting tools.
* Experience with contract and cost analysis for major projects is highly desirable.
