Internal Sales Coordinator - Air & Sea Freight Location: Felixstowe Salary: Up to £38,000 (DOE) As a recruiter working closely with a well-established freight forwarding business in Felixstowe, Im currently looking to appoint an Internal Sales Coordinator to join a busy and growing team. This role plays a key part in selling air and sea freight services while supporting the operations function and managing a high volume of inbound enquiries. The position suits someone who enjoys being at the centre of the business-handling customer queries, converting enquiries into bookings, and working closely with operations to ensure a smooth service. Key Responsibilities: Managing a high volume of inbound calls and emails from customers Quoting, selling, and promoting air and sea freight services Converting enquiries into confirmed bookings Acting as the main point of contact for customer queries and follow-ups Liaising closely with the operations team to ensure smooth shipment execution Supporting external sales colleagues with pricing, follow-ups, and customer data Maintaining accurate records, rates, and CRM/system updates Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell freight solutions Candidate Profile: Proven experience within freight forwarding or logistics, ideally air and sea freight Previous internal sales or customer-facing experience Confident handling busy inbound enquiry volumes Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner Well organised, detail-oriented, and commercially minded Able to work effectively with operations and sales teams Whats on Offer: Salary up to £38,000, depending on experience Office-based role in Felixstowe A supportive and fast-paced working environment Exposure to both sales and operations, offering strong career progression Opportunity to join an established and respected freight forwarder This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced internal sales or freight professional looking for a stable role with variety and progression.
