Sports Funatics was created in September 2024 with the mission to encourage children to get active, develop new skills, and build lasting memories in a safe and supportive environment. We are a dynamic and engaging sports company that delivers fun, high-energy sports sessions to children of all ages. We provide co curricular and sports afternoons in schools in Fulham and Sheen, as well as weekly Saturday morning sessions and exciting holiday camps throughout the year.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a passionate, energetic, and reliable Sports Coach to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and fun-filled sports activities for children during our Saturday morning sessions and holiday camps. There are opportunities to work in schools based on performance, along with team training as we look to start creating teams to play in the Middlesex Youth and Surrey Youth Leagues in the 2025/26 season. Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering weekly Saturday morning sports sessions.
* Leading fun and interactive activities for children of various age groups.
* Creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels encouraged to participate.
* Assisting in planning and organising holiday camps with a focus on fun and skill development.
* Ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed.
* Communicating effectively with parents and guardians when required.
* Providing feedback to children and offering support to help them improve their skills.
What We're Looking For:
* A genuine passion for sports and working with children.
* Experience in coaching or teaching children is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with children in a fun and positive manner.
* Ability to work well as part of a team, as well as independently.
* Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to creating a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
* DBS check (or willingness to complete one).
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
* Previous experience in football coaching or working with children.
* First Aid certified (or willingness to gain certification).
* A relevant sports coaching qualification (e.g. FA Level 1, or equivalent) or looking to gain one.
