Join to apply for the Business and Customer Support Assistant role at Somerset Council.
We are looking for a personable and capable individual to provide advice and support for all users of the Council’s Registration Service.
Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for all customers of the registration service, including phone, email and in‑person inquiries.
* Book customer appointments and ceremonies, and provide advice on births, deaths and marriages.
* Assist with searching for historical birth, death and marriage registrations and producing copy certificates.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
* Have previous experience of working with the public.
* Provide excellent customer service.
* Possess good administrative and organisational skills.
* Have excellent IT skills and knowledge.
Details
* Office days based in Taunton with the opportunity to work some days from home once fully trained.
* Core hours are 9:00 – 17:30, with your pattern within these hours.
* Salary is £10,722 – £10,890 per annum for 16 hours/week (part-time).
