This is a key position for an experienced mechanical engineer who enjoys problem-solving, leading on maintenance strategies, and working collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has a background in mechanical facilities maintenance who has moved off the tools into a supervisor or project management role.

The Role:
*Oversee the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems including boilers, CHP plant, LEV systems, and water systems.
*Diagnose faults and restore services quickly to minimise downtime.
*Lead on planned maintenance programmes and ensure compliance across systems.
*Work closely with contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery.
*Support long-term planning and contribute to risk assessments and technical documentation.
*Participate in the 24-hour on-call rota (additional payment provided).
The Person:
*Extensive background in mechanical services engineering and maintenance.
*Strong understanding of modern mechanical systems and compliance standards.
*Familiarity with BMS and CAFM systems.
*Ideally holds IOSH/NEBOSH or Legionella Control certifications.
*Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
