Job Title: B&W Category Strategy & Operations Senior Assistant Manager
Location: 100VE
A unique opportunity for a Senior Assistant Manager to immerse themselves in the global world of beauty and well‑being and be a driver of the global category strategy and operations. You will gain unparalleled access and insight into the 3-year Innovation Funnel, working with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Global Brand Vice Presidents (GBVPs). This dynamic role sits at the heart of beauty and well‑being, enabling the CMO's category strategy and connecting with all functions of the business to create, communicate and deliver the category strategy for a >€7bn business. The role offers exposure to category growth models and business plans across all brands and markets, within a supportive, close‑knit team. You should be a true team player with a strong aesthetic eye and attention to detail, flexible, adaptable, calm under pressure, and able to build trust and relationships across all work levels (from WL1‑5). The team leads the delivery of key strategic business events that cascade the category strategy to senior leaders and co‑ordinates investor boards and strategic analysis of the full innovation portfolio. You will help define the future strategic direction of the category based on trends, competitive moves and business objectives.
Responsibilities
1. Lead strategy cascade content & events: coordinate, design and execute multiple strategy cascade events throughout the year. Ensure clear, coherent messaging for c‑suite presentations to senior leaders, liaise with external event agencies, internal brand teams and senior leadership to deliver best‑in‑class events. Manage the marketing budget to maximise impact and ensure on‑target delivery (OTIF).
2. Help define the future of the Beauty & Well‑being Category Strategy: contribute to the future strategy by tracking trends, consumer insights and market/channel dynamics. Collaborate with CSP, consumer insights (CMI) and prospective innovation teams to identify opportunities for B&W category strategy.
3. Lead the orchestration of the CMO‑LED Innovation Board: orchestrate, run and follow through on decisions from the board. Develop strong organisational skills and liaise calmly and clearly with all levels and functions globally while handling confidential information.
4. Partner the Strategic B&W Global Activity plan via Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and BU/BG connects: contribute to Global B&W 3‑Year Innovation Plans, align country plans to the innovation strategy, and participate in quarterly BU/BG Activity Plan Reviews to analyse and communicate the plans.
