We are seeking a passionate and dedicated person to join our dynamic team at Pepe Nero Pizzeria. As a member of our front-of-house team, you will be the face of our restaurant, playing a vital role in creating a warm and authentic atmosphere for our customers. Your attention to detail, commitment to excellent service, and ability to promote our specialties will ensure every guest leaves with a smile and a desire to return.
We are also looking for a versatile individual, ready to support the general operations of the restaurant. In this role, you will contribute to the smooth and efficient running of our establishment, supporting customer service and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales:
* Greet guests with a warm "Welcome" and manage phone and delivery channel tablets.
* Create a positive experience from the first moment.
* Master our menu to knowledgeably and enthusiastically recommend our pizzas, sides, desserts.
* Take orders and manage transactions at the counter with accuracy, friendliness, and a smile.
* Handle cash, card, and POS transactions accurately and efficiently.
* Actively promote daily specials, takeaway options.
Operational & Dining Room Support:
* Prepare and serve side dishes and support main chef when necessary.
* Maintain the cleanliness, tidiness, and organization of the front entrance, counter, and dining area.
* Support the team in preparing basic ingredients (e.g., dressing salads, preparing simple appetizers) according to established standards.
* Help maintain workstations, including washing dishes and sanitizing food-contact surfaces.
* Collaborate with all team members to maintain a positive work environment and achieve daily goals.
Time Management & Teamwork:
* Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak periods.
* Work synergistically with the kitchen team to ensure an efficient workflow and an excellent customer experience.
* Perform all duties in full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Qualifications & Desired Skills
* Previous experience in a customer-facing role (restaurant, retail) is preferred but not essential. A willingness to learn is key.
* Excellent communication skills, courtesy, and a positive, sunny disposition.
* Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
* Knowledge of basic food safety practices is an advantage.
* Basic math skills for accurately handling transactions, portions, and orders.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
