Engineering ManagerWe are an employee-owned manufacturing business with a strong heritage of innovation and sustainability. The company is a leading producer of specialist coated paper and film products supplied to customers across multiple industries worldwide.As Engineering Manager, you will lead the engineering function to maximise plant reliability, efficiency, and safety. The role focuses on driving continuous improvement, implementing effective maintenance strategies, and leading a high-performing engineering team.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a preventative maintenance strategy to minimise downtime and optimise asset performanceLead, coach, and develop a multi-skilled engineering team to ensure strong performance and engagementManage engineering budgets, contractors, and procurement activities to support cost-effective operationsDrive optimisation of the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) to improve maintenance planning and asset reliabilityCollaborate with operations teams on continuous improvement initiatives and production targetsLead capital expenditure projects and planned shutdown activities through to successful completionPromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and ISO standardsAbout YouStrong electrical and control systems expertise gained within a manufacturing environmentMinimum 35 years experience in an engineering management role in manufacturingAdvanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including PLCs and machine control systemsExperience managing engineering budgets, including consumable and capital expenditureProficient in CMMS administration and Microsoft Office applicationsProven ability to lead multifunctional teams and deliver operational improvementsHND or Degree qualified in an Engineering disciplineTPM/Autonomous Maintenance experience desirable; Lean manufacturing experience advantageousIOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent safety qualification desirableSalary: Approximately £60,000 per year (depending on experience)Benefits include:Company pensionFlexible working arrangementsFree parkingLife insurancePrivate medical insuranceTPBN1_UKTJ
