About the Role
6. Schedule flow of Production parts to meet daily Production demand.
7. Interpret and implement Sales and Operational Plans
8. Manage a portfolio of suppliers, developing and maintaining successful supplier relationships.
9. Release of orders to the supplier network based on current demand
10. Issue and Management of Tenders, Resourcing and Cost Saving Projects.
11. Manage Cost Saving projects implementations.
12. Provide monthly supplier forecasts based on latest S&OP information.
13. Continuously improve forecasting techniques for long lead items, optional parts and kanban supply.
14. Provide accurate and timely monthly reports - identify business risks and opportunities.
15. Push for improved Supplier performance and challenge to reduce supplier lead times.
16. Provide analysis and suggest actions on current stock holding in relation to existing E&O reports.
17. Work with suppliers to help them support our Production/Quality expectations with view to cost reduction opportunities.
18. Manage supplier Engineering Change pricing, scheduling and implementation.
19. Maintain accurate supplier pricing.
20. Support Production and attend morning lineside meeting as part of Manufacturing Area Teams.
21. Take part in Continuous Improvement projects.
22. Administration tasks associated with job role.
23. Perform additional duties at the request of the Purchasing Manager
About you
Essential:
24. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Material Planning/Purchasing
25. Demonstrate experience of SAP, Oracle or other MRP systems
26. Good mathematical & analytical skills
27. Good problem solving skills and self motivated
28. Strong Communication Skills both verbal and written.
29. Good IT skills with demonstrable experience of MS Office especially MS Excel Intermediate Level
30. Demonstrate examples of Cost Savings Projects and Tender experience
Desirable:
31. Demonstrate proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impact
32. Experience operating in an engineering environment
33. CIPS Qualified or equivalent
