Job Description
* Develop and implement long-term IT strategies and operational plans in alignment with the company's business goals.* Collaborate with senior management to ensure IT initiatives support business objectives.* Oversee the delivery of IT services, ensuring they meet quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget.* Manage the IT service portfolio, including service transitions and retirements.* Ensuring high availability, performance, and cybersecurity of systems* Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.* Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.* Oversee IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.* Coordinate with the IT project manager and various stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure project alignment with business needs.* Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.* Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations* Manage risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal business units and external partners* Act as a liaison between IT and other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.* Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.* Monitor IT expenditures and implement cost-saving measures where possible.* Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in IT service management.
The Successful Applicant
* Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.* Strong experience of leading IT functions with attention to detail in the delivery of IT services and solutions.* Agile methodology and project management experience of large-scale delivery.* Previously been a Head of IT in a similar sized or larger organisation. A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management.* Worked alongside a 3rd party IT outsourcer and pro-actively managing the supplier relationship.* Ability to process capture methodologies and business analysis.* Plan for disaster recovery and business continuity.* Managing a budget, with a focus on cost reduction.* Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL), and project management methodologies.* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
