Overview
Highly Specialist psychology professions practitioner - Clinical/ Counselling Psychologist or CBT therapist (BABCP accredited) (Band 8a) 0.6 wte Adult Mental Health, Hastings Assessment & Treatment Service (ATS).
We are advertising for a Highly Specialist psychology professions practitioner who will deliver specialist applied psychology services to adults with severe and complex mental health difficulties within the ATS. The post offers opportunities to develop and broaden specialist therapy skills, participate in supervision, training, leadership, and multidisciplinary teamwork, and contribute to service development.
The post holder will provide high quality assessment, intervention and formulation across psychological models (including CBT and attachment-based models), take a clinical leadership role, supervise Assistant Psychologists, Clinical Trainees, and Psychology Graduate Volunteers, and support psychological practice within the wider team. They will use research skills for audit and service improvement and contribute to pathway developments and MDT work.
There are opportunities to lead on pathway developments as part of transforming the psychological offer and supporting MDT psychological thinking. Applicants with interests in psychosis, trauma, emotional intensity, or therapies such as CBT, Family work, CAT or EMDR are welcome.

Qualifications and experience
Registration and BABCP accreditation where applicable. Experience of working with severe and enduring mental health difficulties (e.g., complex trauma, psychosis, personality difficulties). MDT teamworking, teaching and supervision experience, autonomous working within a busy multidisciplinary setting.

Proven ability to provide assessment, formulation, and intervention across a range of psychological models; ability to lead and supervise junior staff; strong communication and collaboration skills; commitment to CPD and service development.
