Job Purpose: To provide infection prevention and control nursing services and expert advice within North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, ensuring high standards in the prevention, surveillance, and investigation of infection. To offer infection prevention and control advice as specified in Service Level Agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work collaboratively with infection prevention and control nursing staff, Infection Control Doctor, and Microbiology staff; liaise with external agencies and partners as required.
2. Provide information flow to Senior Clinical Matrons, Heads of Service, General Managers, and Clinical Directors.
3. Support an assigned directorate as part of a team.
4. Engage with all staff and patients confidently, professionally challenging poor practice when necessary.
5. Represent the trust externally to share good practice and report back effectively.
Additional Information:
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust now form University Hospitals Tees. You may be required to work at any site across both Trusts.
