Job Description

Qioptiq specializes in Avionic displays, Defence Optronics, Dismounted Tactical Solutions, and Integrated OEM Optical Solutions, enabling us to meet our customers' exacting application needs. Due to our leadership in supporting mission-critical applications, we are the preferred supplier for prime contractors worldwide.

Job Outline:

An Operator in the Assembly team is responsible for assembling sophisticated electro-optical instruments that incorporate mechanical, optical, and electronic components.

Key Responsibilities:

The main duties include:

* Working as part of a dedicated team to assemble electro-optical instruments.
* Maintaining quality work standards.
* Participating in process improvements.
* Supporting the team to meet customer requirements.

Personal Specification:

Candidates should demonstrate a good educational background (at least a grade C or above in Maths and English O Level/GCSE or equivalent), mechanical aptitude, and an understanding of mechanical principles. Most importantly, candidates should be eager to learn, flexible, and have a positive, 'can-do' attitude.

This role is suitable for candidates experienced with small equipment handling involving intricate parts, such as model kits, embroidery, nail art, hardware repair, or mobile phone rebuilding.

Flexibility in working hours and willingness to work overtime may be required to meet business needs.

Experience with assembly processes and techniques is desirable. Optical handling experience is an advantage, but full training will be provided given the specialized nature of our business.
