FLT Counterbalance Driver / Machine Operative
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Machine Operative with a valid Counterbalance Licence to join our well-established client based in Manchester (M12).
You will be working on a sensitive production line which involves regulating the feed of raw material and learning when the machine needs more / less feed to maximise production.
You will also be operating a bagging machine, sealing, putting bags on pallets, and cooperating a Counterbalance Truck to move stock around.
Working Times:
* Monday - Friday: 07:45-1700
Rates of Pay:
* £13.00 per hour

Day-to-day duties:
Your duties as a Machine Operative/Counterbalance Driver willinclude (but not be limited to):
* Operating a Counterbalance Truck safely and efficiently to move stock around the factory
* Setting up and running machines to ensure optimum efficiency
* Identifying and resolving faults during set-up in line with order requirements
* Completing paperwork and inputting data accurately into the system
* Performing checks against instructions to ensure product quality and conformity
* Carrying out regular quality inspections and correcting any issues immediately
* Ensuring adequate stock of raw materials to maintain productivity
* Keeping the work area clean and tidy at all times
* Reporting defective machine parts promptly
Essential skills:
To be successful as a a Machine Operative/Counterbalance Driver you will need:
* Previous machine operation and machinery skills
* Must have a VALID FLT Counterbalance Licence
* Quality control expertise
* Proficiency in using hand tools
* Strong communication skills
* The ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Experience in a manufacturing environment
* A committed attitude to continuous improvement activities such as 5S and lean production

* Full training will be provided on site, with continued development opportunities
