Site Supervisor/360 Grab Operator vacancy in Motherwell
Site Supervisor/360 Grab Operator (196jc) – Motherwell - £32,500
This company in the recycling sector is seeking to recruit a Site Supervisor to lead its team at their operation in Motherwell. Ideally you will also have plant equipment experience and/or 360 Grab Operator experience. You will report to the site manager and have a team of about 6 personnel reporting to you.
Responsibilities:
* Lead by example and proactively drive a Safety First Culture in line with Company SHEQ policies
* Create a safe and compliant working environment for all team members
* Monitor and continuously improve daily site operations
* Ensure compliance with waste management licences, consents, and all statutory requirements
* Develop a process-focused culture with strong problem-solving at all levels
* Build a high-performing, motivated workforce through staff engagement, PDRs, and succession planning
* Oversee plant maintenance, inspections, and critical spares management
* Drive employee training and ensure all competency requirements are met
* Serve as a key link between the site and senior management and drive company KPIs
Qualifications and experience:
* Wheeled material handler/360 Grab experience is essential
* Experience within the waste management and processing sector is advantageous
* IOSH Managing Safely qualification is advantageous
* Experience in a supervisor role is advantageous
* Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
* Strong organisational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities
* Hands-on experience with plant and equipment operations
