Stores and Warehouse Manager
Job Purpose:
To lead, organise, and strengthen the warehouse and stores function.This includes implementing robust processes, ensuring full traceability and compliance with aviation regulations, improving efficiency, and maintaining accurate inventory control.
The Stores Manager will take ownership of all stock-related operations, drive improvements, and help build a well-structured, high-performing stores environment that supports the wider business.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- To define and implement robust warehouse and stores processes, ensuring full traceability, compliance, and efficiency.
- Oversee all inventory movement: receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Ensure accurate and real-time data in our inventory management system (QTM or similar).
- Drive stock control procedures including cycle counting, audits, quarantine management, and repair flow.
- Maintain full compliance with aviation storage standards (e.g. EASA, FAA), including environmental and shelf-life requirements.
- Reorganize and maintain a clean, logical, and secure warehouse layout.
- Liaise with internal teams (Sales, Repairs, Logistics) to ensure alignment and smooth operations.
- Lead and develop any supporting warehouse staff, including training and performance management.
- Promote and enforce H&S practices across the stores function.
- Continuously review and improve warehouse KPIs, processes, and performance.
- Proactively identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks in warehouse processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and efficiency.
Essential Skills, Expertise and Licenses required
- Proven experience in warehouse or stores management, ideally within aviation.
- Strong track record of implementing warehouse systems, processes, or operational improvements.
- Excellent understanding of inventory control, part traceability, and stock movement.
- A hands-on, solutions-focused mindset — comfortable getting involved in day-to-day tasks while also driving continuous improvement.
- Must hold a full UK driving license and have own transport.
- Forklift licence (preferred but not essential).
