Job Summary
Specialist Physiotherapist, Pelvic Health Band 6, University Hospitals Dorset (Cross site), Part time up to 0.55 WTE / 20.5 hours per week
Christchurch and Poole are friendly, welcoming hospitals where the PH physiotherapists are part of the outpatient physiotherapy team and well-integrated into the MDT and Maternity services. The role involves delivering care to Gynae, Uro-gynae, Colorectal, Men's Health, Antenatal MSK, Perinatal Pelvic Health, including post-natal outpatient work at the new BEACH maternity unit Royal Bournemouth site. A keen interest in developing skills across all aspects of Pelvic Health is essential.

Main Duties
* Provide evidence-based, specialist care to perinatal, urogynecology, male & colorectal patients.
* Mentor Band 5 staff and students, support the wider Pelvic Health team, including cross-site working.
* Promote a high-quality, customer-focused, evidence-based service.
* Work within national and local guidelines, including off-site clinics.
Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential):
* BSc Hons Physiotherapy or equivalent
* Current HCPC registration
Experience (Essential):
* Experience working in NHS
* At least 2 years post-graduate physiotherapy experience
* Experience with Band 5-6 MSK outpatient physiotherapy
* Experience with electronic patient records
* Advanced clinical assessment and reasoning skills
Technical Skills (Essential):
* Motivated, reliable, with good time management and organizational skills
* Ability to work independently and in a team
* Proficiency with healthcare digital systems
* Proficient in intimate examinations relevant to pelvic health
Knowledge (Essential):
* Assessment and therapeutic interventions in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
* Knowledge of current guidelines and professional development in Pelvic Health
Additional Requirements:
* Willingness to attend CPD opportunities and share knowledge
* Ability to manage resources effectively to ensure safe, high-quality care
Personal Attributes:
* Flexible, adaptable to different clinical settings (telephone, video, face-to-face)
* Experience working within an NHS team
Language: Able to speak English sufficiently to undertake the role.
