Job Title: Senior Asset Manager (Part Time)
Location: Reading
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
Working Pattern: Part‑Time 3 days a week
The Role
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Asset Manager to join a successful and well‑established property business operating across the Thames Valley and North Hampshire. This role is ideal for someone seeking genuine autonomy, portfolio ownership and the ability to influence strategic decision‑making at a senior level. This is a Part-Time Role with parking on site.
You will oversee a diverse commercial property portfolio, working closely with the Group Managing Director on all asset management matters. The position includes negotiations with external professionals, lettings and disposals, financial and technical appraisals, and involvement in future acquisitions. Importantly, you will also carry out detailed appraisals of prospective development opportunities, supporting the business in identifying and shaping new investment and redevelopment projects.

Key Responsibilities
7. Lead lease advisory negotiations and provide strategic advice across landlord and tenant matters.
8. Manage lease renewals, rent reviews, break options and dilapidations settlements.
9. Liaise with and instruct agents on the marketing of vacant properties.
10. Oversee service charge budgeting and ongoing financial management.
11. Perform technical and financial appraisals for potential investments, redevelopment projects and new acquisitions.
12. Carry out detailed appraisals of prospective development opportunities to support strategic decision‑making.
13. Work with planning consultants on change‑of‑use applications.
What We're Looking For
14. MRICS qualification is highly desirable
15. Proven commercial asset management experience
16. Confident negotiator with a commercial mindset and the ability to work independently.
17. Experience with appraisals, acquisitions, planning matters and capital projects.
18. Highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain accurate reporting.
