Nursing Home Sous Chef
Salary: £30,000 per annum

Requirements and Qualifications:
* Culinary Experience: Previous experience in a chef role, ideally within a care home or large-scale catering environment.
* Qualifications: Relevant culinary qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or equivalent)
* Food Safety Certification: Understanding of food hygiene regulations and a valid food safety certificate.
* Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
* Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively engage with residents and staff.
* Passion for Care: A genuine passion for enhancing the quality of life for residents through nutrition and meal presentation.
As a Nursing Home Chef, you will play a vital role in enhancing the dining experience for our client’s residents. Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the Head Chef and assisting with kitchen assistant duties.
* Supervising the smooth running of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
* Preparing and cooking food for presentation to service users.
* Assisting the Head Chef in planning menus to achieve and maintain budgeted food costs.
* Carrying out stocktaking and food rotation procedures under the Head Chef’s guidance.
* Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations concerning food hygiene, COSHH, and Health and Safety at Work.
