The successful Intervention Teacher will deliver carefully sequenced interventions in literacy and numeracy, lead booster sessions, support pupils with additional needs and provide clear handovers to class teachers. Position Details Intervention Teacher – Birmingham school Start Date – January 2026 Contract – Permanent / Fixed-term (depending on school needs) The Role The Intervention Teacher will: design targeted intervention plans based on diagnostic assessment; deliver small-group and one-to-one teaching; produce impact reports and adapt strategies as required; and support the professional development of teaching assistants in delivering interventions. You will be based in Birmingham and will collaborate with the SENDCo and senior leaders to ensure that interventions are well-integrated into the wider curriculum. Person specification for the Intervention Teacher: • QTS/PGCE and proven experience as an Intervention Teacher with demonstrable outcomes. • Strong diagnostic assessment skills and knowledge of intervention methodologies as the Intervention Teacher. • Excellent communication, organisation and the ability to start January 2026 in Birmingham.
