Overview
Two Nights Warehouse Supervisor roles are being filled to join InPost’s UK hub in Lutterworth, supporting parcel sortation operations within a fast-growing global logistics business. You will oversee daily warehouse operations, optimise mechanical sortation processes, and lead a team to drive operational excellence in a high-energy environment. Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the daily warehouse operations to ensure seamless execution across all activities and departments.
* Develop and implement strategies to drive performance improvements, reduce costs, and maximise efficiency; monitor KPIs to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Partner with the Operations Manager to ensure accurate sorting, processing, and dispatching of parcels, driving a smooth workflow from start to finish.
* Lead, train, and mentor a high-performance warehouse team; foster a positive and motivated work environment.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination across the business.
* Enforce adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency, efficiency, and quality.
* Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, ensuring regulatory compliance and a safe working environment for the team.
* Manage all aspects of the shift to optimise productivity and performance.
* Oversee driver pre- and de-briefings, ensuring clear communication and smooth operations.
* Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards to support an efficient and professional environment.
* Uphold company standards by consistently adhering to policies and procedures and maintaining high operational integrity.
* Participate in weekend conference calls to stay aligned with key operational developments and share insights on performance and priorities.
Qualifications and Skills
* Proven leadership with significant supervisory experience, ideally in a parcel sortation or logistics warehouse, including automation knowledge.
* Operational expertise in warehouse flow management with a track record of process optimisation.
* Inspirational leadership and strong people management skills to motivate a diverse team toward ambitious goals.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
* Tech-savvy with proficiency in warehouse management systems and relevant tools.
* Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while maintaining attention to detail and high standards.
