Job overview

Are you looking to further develop your Leadership in Critical Care? If so, Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust wants to invest in you.

We are looking to recruit committed Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurses with previous Critical Care experience and completion of the Adult Critical Care Course to join our team. This post is an excellent opportunity to advance your clinical leadership knowledge and skills further within the critical care specialty.

Main duties of the job

For this post, a strong understanding of current issues in healthcare is essential alongside experience of direct involvement in improving patient safety, risk reduction, the management of evolving clinical situations, and the development of others. An essential element of this role is leadership, and the candidates must be able to demonstrate they are developing their leadership skills and are forward thinking.

The four partner Trusts of the Black Country Provider Collaborative (Dudley Group NHS FT, Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust, and Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust) are actively working in partnership to deliver a collective vision focused on providing "better, faster and safer care to the population of the Black Country and beyond".

To support this vision, we are (where appropriate and safe to do so) actively looking at new models of care which:

* Better protect elective / planned care service delivery across the system by organising on a 'hot and cold' arrangement
