Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in a care home or home care setting, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the well-being of our clients. Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients in daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and update care plans as necessary.
* Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
* Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
* Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote their physical and emotional well-being.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations while providing care in both home care and care home environments.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and team members.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.
* A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating a caring and respectful approach towards clients.
