We are looking for a Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer to work within our engineering team, reporting to the Engineering Development Manager. In this role, you will drive operational excellence by identifying inefficiencies, optimising processes, and implementing strategic improvements across our business. You will analyse performance data, lead key projects, and develop best practices that enhance productivity, cost-effectiveness, and overall efficiency. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will integrate new technologies and support workforce development to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
About The Role
* Provide World Class Manufacturing techniques to support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
* Champion EHS in the workplace – Lead by example through adherence to standards, and actively encourage a positive Environmental, Health & Safety culture
* Maintain a positive, professional demeanour at all times, with a can-do attitude.
* Analyse and improve company processes and procedures.
* Developing process enhancement strategies.
* Investigating shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current business processes.
* Establishing norms and standards of company performance.
* Monitoring staff performance and organisational processes.
* Collaborating with other stakeholders to enhance productivity and staff satisfaction.
* Staying up to date and initiating developments in management and process optimization.
* Working with the other function leaders, to coordinate and facilitate process improvement and new product implementation projects.
* Ensuring timely feedback on progress and constraints where applicable
* Delivery of CI projects that are typically complex in nature and involve cross function team members and stakeholders
* Deliver positive improvements to the bottom line through the elimination of waste
* Design, Implement, Support and mentor business trainee WCM Green Belts in the delivery of CI projects and achieve certification where applicable.
* Identify opportunities for 'Being better than today' and 'Easy to do business with', supported by sponsor engagement and charters where applicable.
* Identify opportunities to develop self in terms of knowledge and understanding of Lean and Continuous Improvement techniques and developments.
* Co-ordinate and manage a central KIP database (single agenda) which will lead the business in decision making principles.
* Communicating ideas and opinions to other members of management. Influencing change and improvement
* Managing staff cohorts and teams of various sizes.
* Training, mentoring, and guiding team members in new processes.
* Implement a CI/WCM Pillar Structure to ensure the CI is habitual within our future business.

Required Criteria
* Sixsigma Greenbelt trained
* Demonstrable experience of ISO 9001/14001 working practices and policies.
* 3-5 years' experience in process optimization, operations, or business management
Desired Criteria
* Sixsigma Black Belt
