Junior / Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £30,000-£35,000

Sphere Solutions are recruiting on behalf of their client who are looking to expand their commercial team and recruit a Junior / Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support both the development and contracting arms of the business. With a strong pipeline of projects and a busy order book, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company that values succession planning and long-term career development.
The Role
As a Junior / Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will gain hands-on experience across a variety of projects while working closely with senior members of the team. Your role will include:
1. Assisting with subcontractor procurement and contract administration
2. Supporting cost planning and pricing activities
3. Carrying out site measurements and valuations
4. Assisting with invoicing and preparation of final accounts
5. Ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting
Projects
You will gain exposure to a range of schemes, including:
6. Affordable housing developments
7. One-off bespoke housing projects
8. Commercial developments
Most of the works carried out are secured through negotiated contracts and repeat clients, giving you the chance to build lasting professional relationships.
Requirements
9. Good IT skills (Excel, Word, and relevant software)
10. A full UK driving license
11. Enthusiasm to learn and develop within a supportive team
12. Previous experience OR a relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying
