We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the heart of Bedminster. This is a full-time, term-time role working within a Key Stage 1 classroom, supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective learning experiences (starting in September). While this is a general classroom support role, the successful candidate will also work with a number of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing targeted support to help them thrive both academically and socially. Key Responsibilities: Provide in-class support to the teacher and pupils during lessons and activities Work 1:1 or with small groups of pupils, including those with additional needs Help to prepare learning materials and set up classroom resources Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all pupils Assist with supervision during break and lunch times as required The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience working with children, ideally in a school or educational setting A patient, caring, and flexible approach A passion for supporting children's learning and development Some understanding or experience of supporting children with SEN (preferred but not essential) Excellent communication and teamwork skills A willingness to learn and adapt as part of a supportive team What We Offer: A friendly and supportive school community Opportunities for professional development and training A rewarding role where you’ll make a real difference to children’s lives Supportive leadership and staff team If you are interested in being considered for this roel, then please contact Karl Humphrey on.
