Job Title: Meter Reader

The Role: We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Meter Reader to join NIE team in the Bangor area. As a Meter Reader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely readings of electricity meters, which is essential for customer billing and energy management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accurately read and record electricity meters in residential and commercial properties.
2. Ensure timely and efficient collection of meter data.
3. Report any issues or irregularities observed during meter readings.
4. Provide excellent customer service and address any queries from customers.
5. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing duties.
6. Utilize handheld devices to record and transmit meter readings.
Essential Criteria:
7. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills.
9. Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently.
10. Good communication and customer service skills.
11. Physical ability to walk long distances and work in various weather conditions.
12. A current UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable Criteria:
13. Previous experience in meter reading or a similar role.
14. Basic understanding of electricity meters and related equipment.
