Job Description:
Leightons Opticians and Hearing Care and The Hearing Care Partnership are seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to join our team as a Part-Time Facilities Manager. Reporting to the Director of New Business, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, as well as managing property maintenance and appearance across our organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Facilities Manager and relevant stakeholders to plan and execute tasks effectively.
* Organise and maintain office systems, electronic databases, and filing systems for estates and facilities.
* Identify and pilot new processes and systems to enhance efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
* Stay updated on Health & Safety legislation, develop training programmes, and ensure compliance company-wide.
* Conduct various risk assessments and provide recommendations in accordance with legislation.
* Coordinate estate projects, managed and contracted programmes, and services.
* Provide executive summaries of statutory inspections and oversee remedial works.
* Manage maintenance contractors, ensuring timely access for all branches and facilities.
* Stay informed about relevant legislation and practices through continuous learning and development.
* Provide oversight of fleet requirements by liaising with external car fleet contractors.
* Perform any other duties as required by the Board of Directors, Leadership Team, and Senior Management.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Previous experience in facilities management or related fields preferred.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Proactive attitude with a commitment to excellence in health and safety standards.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and practices in health and safety and property management.
