Trainee Commercial Account Executive – Leeds
Our client is very well respected chartered insurance brokerage in the Leeds area. They are fiercely independent and have no plans to sell to a consolidator. They are currently experiencing a period of significant organic growth, which has opened up numerous brand new roles.
This particular role is for a “Trainee Commercial Account Executive”, starting out primarily as a desk based executive dealing with SME and smaller commercial clients, generally with annual premium spends up to circa £20k. In this role, you will be dealing with 100% incoming enquiries (no cold calling), taking client and risk details, speaking to insurers to negotiate deals etc.
As the role progresses and your technical and broking knowledge increases, it is anticipated that you will start to deal with larger clients, begin meeting with clients at their premises and develop into a full client facing “Account Executive” with your own portfolio and all the benefits that come with the full AE role (increased salary, benefits, car allowance etc.).
Ideally, interested candidates will have at least 18 months commercial insurance experience, gained within a broking environment, although we will also look at commercial underwriters wanting to move across into broking. Previous use of Acturis would be beneficial, although not essential as full system training can be provided.
Progress towards CII qualifications would also be beneficial and will be fully supported by our client both financially and in terms of study assistance.
This role comes with and excellent basic salary + commission and a full and comprehensive benefits package.
Our client is conveniently located with plenty of parking and is currently working on a 3 days in, 2 days from home basis.
