Vehicle Technician - Plymouth Our client, a reputable independent garage in Plymouth, is seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician to join their dynamic team. Benefits: Competitive basic salary up to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience Overtime available with additional remuneration Stable and friendly working environment within a thriving business Opportunities for career development, including MOT Testing training post-probation Varied workload covering both routine servicing and heavy mechanical repairs Working hours Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, with optional Saturday overtime Generous holiday entitlement of 20 days plus bank holidays Duties: Performing diagnostics and repairs on a diverse range of vehicle makes and models as a Vehicle Technician Conducting routine services such as oil changes, brake replacements, and suspension work Fitting components including cam belts, brakes, and suspension parts Repairing and replacing gearboxes and engines, avoiding strip/rebuild work on automatic transmissions Assisting with MOT Testing, either as a qualified tester or undergoing training Ensuring all work is completed efficiently, to high standards, and within specified timescales Maintaining accurate records of all repairs and services carried out Contributing to a safe and clean workshop environment Requirements of this Vehicle Technician role: Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician in a busy workshop setting Strong diagnostics and heavy mechanical repair skills Good knowledge of electrical systems and engine work MOT Tester certification is preferable; training can be provided if required Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Effective team player capable of working independently Full UK driving licence If you are a dedicated Vehicle Technician seeking to join a company that values commitment and offers genuine progression opportunities, this is an ideal position for you.
