NHS Interim Planning Accountant – Band 8c
South East | 3-month contract (possible extension) | Start date: 27th October | On-site 3 days/week - South East
Are you a strategic thinker with a strong NHS finance background? We’re on the lookout for a seasoned Planning Accountant to support a high-performing finance team with the development and delivery of long-term financial models and Trust-wide planning.
You'll play a vital role in shaping the 5-year financial plan, aligning it with clinical and operational strategies, while leading on key elements like sensitivity analysis, activity/financial triangulation, and scenario planning. Your insights will directly influence senior decision-makers through robust data, modelling, and benchmarking.
You’ll work cross-functionally, engaging with colleagues from Financial Management, Strategy, IM&T, HR and clinical teams – so confidence and clarity in communication is essential. NHS finance experience at a senior level is a must, alongside a full CCAB or equivalent qualification.
This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days on-site across two key locations, depending on the workshop and meeting schedule.
