Pyramid8 are recruiting for an Imports Coordinator / Imports Administrator to work for a small business based in Leeds. They are looking for someone with experience in dealing with imports, who is a team player and can work independently. They are a leading distributor for home design.
Responsibilities will include:
* Checking supplier and shipper invoices and approving for payment.
* Posting invoices onto the system.
* Addressing and investigating invoice discrepancies.
* Customs clearance/declarations submissions.
* Following customer and internal shipments once actioned and ensuring successful deliveries.
* Placing purchase orders with our various factories around the world for both our own stocks and customer stocks.
* Supporting our lead importer by inputting, updating, and maintaining sales and purchase data on the system and maintaining data sheets for various stakeholders both internally and externally as required.
* Tracking shipments and liaising with shippers, hauliers, and customers.
* Filing paperwork internally.
* Liaising with, and supporting, our accounts, imports and purchasing team where necessary.
The candidate we are looking for would have the following:
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure.
* Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
* Ability to manage and prioritise workload.
* An understanding of imports and/or logistics is ideal.
* Basic Excel skills.
Experience with databases would be beneficial– we use SAGE 200 internally, but training will be given to the right candidate if they do not have experience with the software.
