Your Role as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant
As a qualified Level 3 TA, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality learning across Chester schools, taking on more independent responsibilities such as:
* Leading small-group interventions and targeted learning programmes across core subjects
* Providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional or individual needs
* Delivering structured learning activities confidently, including when covering in a teacher’s absence
* Supporting behaviour management and helping maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment
* Assisting teachers with assessments, progress tracking and feedback
* Adapting classroom resources to meet a diverse range of learning needs, including SEND
* Taking a proactive role in planning discussions, classroom routines and wider school life
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in Level 3 Teaching Assistant roles across Chester, you’ll need:
* A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
* Experience supporting pupils within a primary, secondary or SEND school (through study, placements or employment)
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management and inclusive practice
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, supportive relationships
* Confidence delivering small-group activities and differentiated learning
* A caring, adaptable and committed approach to pupils’ academic and emotional development
* An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
