Linux Engineer - £485 per day inside IR35 – 6 month rolling contract – Hybrid – 60% on site near Manchester, 40% work from home. I am partnering with a Global Consultancy who are looking for Linux Engineer with working experience in Unix to take on a key project for a multinational organisation. You will require the following credentials:-
1. Must be RedHat Certified and ITII Foundation certified.
2. Working experience Over 6 years in a fast-paced UNIX environment.
3. Excellentmunication and articulation skills
4. Ability to drive interaction with senior stakeholders.
5. Unix Administration and troubleshooting skills, clear concepts Of LVM, user
Management & Operating system
6. Troubleshooting on filesystem & user access related issues.
7. Deep understanding Of UNIX OS & Troubleshooting on various UNIX OS Issue
8. Knowledge Of automation, Chef, powerbroker technologies
9. AWS / cloud knowledge would be added advantage
10. Experience in Remote troubleshooting and diagnosis of UNIX issues
11. Work with vendors like Linux & Oracle in coordinating hardware/software issues
12. Understanding and troubleshooting experience of Veritas volume manger and Veritas cluster
13. Basic Tivoli Storage Manager Client administration & able to troubleshoot backup failures &remediate the same.
14. Good understanding of Network Connectivity and protocols with respect to the UNIX platform
15. Exposure to ticketing tools like ServiceNow
16. Understanding & experience working on DNS, FTP & NFS.
Essential Skills/Basic Qualification
17. Around 6–8 years of experience in supporting enterprise Unix
18. RedHat Linux and IT Il. foundation certified.
19. Excellent knowledge of Veritas volume manager, Veritas cluster and VVR
20. Knowledge on AIX/Cloud
