The Role
We are seeking an HCPC registered Physiotherapist, with the ability to inspire, enthuse and connect with a range of stakeholders from a wide range of backgrounds. You will be involved in supporting the teaching delivery across our physiotherapy and interprofessional portfolios, with potential to contribute to the wider health portfolio as appropriate.
This is an excellent opportunity to further your career in a higher education setting and would be suitable if you are looking to transition from a clinical setting into education. Whilst higher education teaching experience is not essential, you must have experience of formal teaching, training and supervising students, and be able to contribute to our undergraduate and postgraduate courses including apprenticeship provision.
You must have well developed and current knowledge and understanding of critical, practical and theoretical issues relevant to contemporary physiotherapy. We are seeking to employ a candidate who is at the forefront of new ways of working within the NHS, and you will have recent practice experience or have specialised in cardiovascular respiratory physiotherapy practice.
The Physiotherapy Team
We are a team of 33 physiotherapists from diverse clinical backgrounds and specialities delivering education across the pre and post registration programme to over 800 students.
As a team we are committed to high quality teaching and learning for all of our students using specialist teaching rooms, technology and simulation. We work creatively and flexibly to meet the evolving needs of service and workforce requirements.
Our education portfolio includes the BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, BSc Physiotherapy Degree Apprenticeship, Pre-reg MSc in Physiotherapy and MSc in Specialist Physiotherapy Practice and MSc Advanced Clinical Practice Musculoskeletal. Integral to our approach in the School of Health and Social Care is contribution to cross Department and school teaching including integrated curriculum provision.
You will be involved in pre and post registration education in the above courses that incorporates interprofessional working and delivery to students across the school.
