We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2/3 Teacher to join a friendly and nurturing team at a vibrant school. This is a wonderful opportunity to teach a mixed-age class in a supportive and community-focused school environment where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to achieve their best. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as Year 2/3 Teacher:
* Plan and deliver effective lessons that meet the needs of all learners in KS1 and lower KS2 classes.
* Use a range of assessment strategies to track and support pupil progress
* Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share resources and ideas
* Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure targeted intervention where needed
* Maintain regular communication with parents and carers
* Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities, trips and events
* Uphold the school’s values and policies, including safeguarding and wellbeing
Ideal Year 2/3 Teacher:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Has a strong understanding of the KS1 and lower KS2 curriculum
* Is confident teaching phonics, early literacy and numeracy
* Can differentiate effectively to support a wide range of abilities
* Builds warm, respectful relationships with pupils, staff and families
* Brings creativity, resilience, and a commitment to inclusive education
* Is reflective and open to ongoing professional development
