River Wey & Goldalming Navigations & Dapdune Wharf is a tranquil waterway running for nearly 20 miles through the heart of Surrey. The Wey was one of the first British rivers to be made navigable, and opened to barge traffic in 1653. This 15-mile waterway linked Guildford to Weybridge on the Thames, and then to London. River Wey & Godalming Navigations │ Surrey | National Trust You'll be responsible for maintaining navigation levels by checking river gauges and adjusting weir gates. You'll need to regularly monitor the river and have the flexibility to respond at short notice. This requires 24hr cover so you will need to live within close proximity of the Navigations. This role will require regular travel around the site to remote locations that are not accessible by public transport. You'll therefore need to be able to meet these travel requirements.
