An asset management firm is seeking a Credit Research Analyst to join its Global Credit investment team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to portfolio performance through high-quality credit analysis, thoughtful recommendations and informed macro insights. The successful candidate will work as part of a small, collaborative team gaining exposure to a broad universe of issuers across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct rigorous fundamental credit research, including detailed financial modelling and relative value analysis to support investment decisions
* Produce clear, well-argued recommendations for the inclusion or removal of issuers within portfolios
* Maintain regular dialogue with team members and utilise external research to share insights and inform investment decisions
* Participate in issuer meetings, roadshows and ongoing monitoring, ensuring research notes are kept updated to reflect evolving credit fundamentals
* Stay informed on market developments, regulatory changes, macroeconomic trends and sector-specific factors that may impact credit quality or portfolio positioning
* Contribute to risk management and asset allocation decisions across portfolios
* Work collaboratively with sustainability and ESG specialists to ensure appropriate screening and alignment with firmwide principles.
Candidate Requirements:
* 3-6 years of relevant experience in credit research at an asset manager or credit rating agency, covering corporate or financial issuers
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial statements and evaluate creditworthiness
* CFA qualification (or progress towards it)
* Advanced financial modelling skills
* Ability to form independent views, challenging constructively and communicate recommendations confidently to others
* Demonstrates Intellectual curiosity, proactive nature and strong self-motivation
* Team player with excellent communication skills
