ABOUT THE ROLE
The Account Director plays an integral role in the digital experience agency and is part of the VCCP partnership, driving integration.
You will work closely with the digital leadership team and take on responsibility for building and delivering success across your portfolio. You are expected to manage your clients and projects efficiently and effectively, delivering outstanding, challenger work. The Account Director operates across digital channels, including web, app, AI and digital comms and is an expert in consumer and market behaviour. You use insight to out-think our competitors, proactively seek out new opportunities and deliver success for clients.
You’re a team player who will be paired with a group of talented experience strategy, UX, Design, Developer and project management professionals. In this role, it will be important to foster and contribute to a positive and successful team culture. You will use your relationship-building skills to develop strong connections across different areas of the VCCP partnership, where you will support with business development and new business opportunities.
This also goes for building client relationships with new and old clients alike. You are at your best when building strong and productive partnerships with clients at all levels. You are skilled at producing account plans with your clients, driving business development, pitching to new clients, and have strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and organisation skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Deliver outstanding, digital challenger work that exceeds client expectations.
* Develop account plans and financial forecasts that are accurate and achievable.
* Operate across all digital channels (and integrate with non-digital media) to deliver people-first marketing campaigns
* Keep up to date with the latest tech changes in the industry. Be an expert at digital, and use it to solve client problems
* Innovative thinking, delivered accurately. Challenge our processes and identify ways we can be better.
* Assist current account management teams across the partnership to have digital conversations with their clients
* Able to work effectively as part of a client cross-agency team representing Bernadette and championing our remit and work.
* Management of clients through the end-to-end lifecycle of strategy, design and development projects
* Be an expert in your client’s customers and the markets your client operates in
* A stickler for quality, never let anything out of the office that is not of the highest quality.
* Look at ways to grow the client's business, aligning their growth with ours. Ensure accounts are profitable.
* Develop deep and lasting relationships with your clients, agency colleagues, and key partners
* Close collaboration with the Digital project management team
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
* Proven account management experience within a successful agency environment.
* Experience of direct client management and excellent digital partner relationships
* Proven track record of commercial nous and success, delivering strong business value for clients and the agency.
* Expert knowledge of digital specialisms (UX/Design, Website/app design and build, owned digital channels, apps, and interactive digital comms) and an awareness of other marketing disciplines, including AI and the practicalities of integration
* Fluency in both written and spoken English
