Let Estate Building SupervisorWorking with us, no two days are the same. You could be out on site specifying cottage refurbishments, investigating reactive repairs, overseeing track works, troubleshooting tricky private water supply problems or in the office maintaining compliance paperwork. You’ll look after a small part-time team of General Tradespeople as well as managing contractors and working alongside colleagues from other teams. You’ll make sure that all work is conducted safely, using the right materials and methodsYour contractual location will be our head office in North York Moors, based at Smout House, Fadmoor, York YO62 7JL and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview. In reality you'll be on-site for a minimum of three days a week, possibly more. You’ll be responsible the day-to-day maintenance and repair of our Let Estate buildings and Holiday Cottages on the North York Moors, Yorkshire Coast and in the City of York, with a few outposts in Teesside and Hull.
