Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented AAT Level 4 Bookkeeper to join our team at Platinum Accounting Services Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in an accounting practice, with proven experience in processing VAT returns, preparing financial statements, and completing accounts accurately and unattended and ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and regulations. You will be responsible for managing duties relating to multiple clients from diverse business types and individual needs.
This role is a Full-time role Hours per week)
Responsibilities
* Maintain and update general ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations for multiple clients
* Prepare and submit VAT returns
* Assist with tax preparation and stay updated on relevant tax law changes
* Generate detailed financial reports
* Cross-reference information to find errors and correct them accordingly.
* Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently
* Act as a point of contact for clients regarding bookkeeping and financial questions
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices within the bookkeeping function
* Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, legal record-keeping requirements, and company policies
Requirements
* Minimum of 3-4 years' experience in an accounting practice, with a strong background in bookkeeping
* A minimum of AAT Level 4 qualifications
* knowledge in accounting software (e.g. Xero, FreeAgent, etc) and financial record keeping
* Ideally, experience with payroll and CIS processing, but this is not essential
* Knowledge of VAT compliance and submission procedures
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organisational abilities
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
* Ability to transfer knowledge to our placement students.

Pay: £27,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
