The responsibilities of a Assistant Production Planner are as follows:
1. From Sales Order Book, create production schedule for the factory
2. Create worklists by machine/department as necessary
3. Manage machine/labour capacity to anticipate overloads and work with cell leads to offload, plan OT
4. Respond to last minute changes, expedites, scrap/rework
5. Report OTD for individual customers and overall
6. Run (minimum) weekly production meeting
7. Interface with customers/suppliers with regular update meetings
To fulfil these responsibilities as an Assistant Production Planner you will have the following skills/experience:
8. Experience working in machining/production environment
9. Experienced in production planning/scheduling systems
10. Knowledge of ERP or MRP systems
11. Customer interfacing
12. Highly organised
13. Flexible, can respond to last minute changes
14. Can replan to accommodate customer expedites
15. Good collaboration with peers
16. Quick and professional feedback to customers
17. Ability to liaise with external supply groups;
18. Ability to work individually and as part of a team;
19. Ability to work under pressure
20. Ability to use initiative.
