This is an excellent opportunity for skilled theatre nurses who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care within a dynamic surgical environment. As a Scrub Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting surgical teams, ensuring procedures run safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and infection control. Key Responsibilities Prepare operating theatres and ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for procedures. Scrub in and assist surgeons during orthopaedic operations. Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures. Anticipate the needs of surgeons and theatre staff during operations. Ensure accurate handling and counting of surgical instruments, swabs, and needles. Support patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures. Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and theatre staff. Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to hospital policies and clinical guidelines. Requirements Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration. Proven experience working as a Scrub Nurse, ideally within orthopaedic theatre settings. Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile techniques. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary theatre team. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
